EAGE is a professional association for geoscientists and engineers. Founded in 1951, it is an organization with a worldwide membership providing a global network of commercial and academic professionals. The association is truly multi-disciplinary and international in form and pursuits.

All members of EAGE are professionally involved in (or studying) geophysics, petroleum exploration, geology, reservoir engineering, mining and civil engineering. The EAGE operates two divisions: the Oil & Gas Geoscience Division and the Near Surface Geoscience Division.

The Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS) is a non-profit making trade association established to improve the profile and quality of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. The membership comprises UK organisations and individuals having a common interest in the business of site investigation, geotechnics, geoenvironmental engineering, engineering geology, geochemistry, hydrogeology, and other related disciplines.

Herdman Symposium - Geoscience Frontiers 2

The Herdman Society is the undergraduate society of the Earth and Ocean Sciences Department at Liverpool University; William Herdman was founder and benefactor for the original Department of Geology.

The full programme with abstracts, times, location of the Sherrington Lecture Theatre and ticket charge will be circulated in December. The charge to non-students will, subject to sponsorship, probably be £8, which includes lunch and tea/coffee.
